It is called Montecello, "little mountain" in Italian, because it sits on a hill.
We enjoyed a tour of the inside, then were met with rain outdoors.
But we were still able to see some of the gardens, still fresh and green and growing.
You feel just a bit as though you'll meet Thomas Jefferson himself around some corner.
Is a person's home the place where they are a completely natural part of the landscape? ~ Megan
