Drawing a Name

Tonight I wrote the names of my blog giveaway entrants on slips of paper (using my own beloved Seven Year Pen), shuffled the papers in a whimsical kitchen bowl, and drew a winner . . .

Congratulations, Lucy! As you live in Canada, you are the perfect illustration of one of my favorite parts of blogging-- getting to know people even when they live miles away. Though you would be too far to visit in person, the giveaway pen and paper should travel nicely :) You can e-mail me (megansa@sbcglobal.net) your address, and I will send the gift on its way.

To everyone who entered, or visits this place~

celebrating five ~ a giveaway

This past week marked my fifth year of blogging. How time flies! I am so thankful to have this place where I can share pictures and words, and to have you here reading them. Today I'm celebrating with a giveaway!

While contemplating what I have enjoyed using and think you might enjoy using as well, two things came to mind. First off, Four Seasons Pocket Pads by Potter Style.

I always like to carry a small notebook in my purse, and these fit the bill beautifully. Their being separated into seasons make them easy to switch out, keeping things interesting. Mine are now full of random lists, numbers, book titles, thoughts, and doodles.

And what do you need for writing in a notebook? My pick is The Note-To-Self Seven Year Pen by Seltzer Goods. It writes smoothly and, supposedly, can write 1.7 meters a day for seven years. I've only had mine since December (I had put it on my Christmas list after seeing it on Pinterest), so we'll see. . .

Four notebooks + one pen = five items (fitting, right? :)

Think you or someone you know could use a few notebooks and a pen? To enter, simply leave a comment below or email me at megansa@sbcglobal.net. The giveaway will be open through July 27 at 4:00 P.M. central time. I'll plan on drawing and announcing the winner that night.

Thank you for coming along on this journey with me! Blessings~ Megan

Stacking

My sisters have become quite good at stacking cards lately.
I have found myself stacking too, though a bit differently.
I've been stacking pictures.
Not literally, of course.
Just gathering frozen moments onto my camera, then computer.
This week I've been able to transform some of that stack into posts.
Simple windows onto the past month.
I decided to publish these posts around when they happened.
Rather crazy how you can publish in the past.
I find this helpful for maintaining overall clarity.
But the little trick has a downside- confusion at the present.
So I thought I'd write this explanation.
Thanks for your patience and hello again!
Hope all is well with you~ Megan

Gardens Grow- day 13

Morning walk through the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. . .

Hobbit hole!

Missing dance. . .

 Midday chopsticks trial. . .

And then came a delightful afternoon climbing trees, learning about plants, having a tea party, and drawing at the Iretons' home. Our family has relished Mrs. Ireton's book, The Circle of Seasons: Meeting God in the Church Year, as well as her blog. When this opportunity came to meet her and her family, we were thrilled. I love how this blog community is like a garden, always growing. Blessings~Megan
